Leave a gift in your will

A gift in your Will, however large or small, is one of the most meaningful ways you can support Savera UK and help us continue our vital work long into the future.

There are two types of gifts you can leave in your Will

A specific sum of money

A fixed amount of your choosing, left directly to Savera UK.

A share of your estate

A percentage of your estate after all other gifts and expenses have been paid. Even a small percentage can help, as these gifts usually maintain or increase their value over time.

Inheritance Tax

If you leave a gift to Savera UK in your Will, it won’t be included when valuing your estate for Inheritance Tax purposes. The value of your gift will be deducted from your estate before Inheritance Tax is applied.

Inheritance Tax rules can change, so it’s always best to discuss your Will and the type of gift you might like to leave with your solicitor.

How to leave a gift in your Will

1
Contact us for our details

Email us at [email protected] and we’ll send you our registered address, charity number, and suggested wording to share with your solicitor, everything they need to include Savera UK in your Will.

2
Share the details with your solicitor

Pass our details on to your solicitor when you arrange or update your Will. We recommend using a qualified solicitor to make sure your Will is legally valid, which protects both you and the people and causes you’re leaving gifts to.

Let us know (optional)

If you like, you can also get in touch to tell us you have left a donation in your Will. We would love the opportunity to say thank you, and knowing a gift has been left to us also allows us to plan for the future. You can contact us at [email protected]

Remember, no gift is too small and any donation left in your Will enables us to help more people find their ‘savera’ (new beginning) and helps us to move closer to our vision of a world without ‘honour’-based abuse and harmful practices.
