Savera UK is working to end ‘honour’-based abuse (HBA) and all harmful practices through:
•Direct interventions and safeguarding
•Advocacy
•Education
•Community engagement
•Campaigning for policy, attitude and behaviour change
It is vital to engage communities and key leaders that stand against HBA and harmful practices such as forced marriage, female genital mutilation, virginity testing, breast ironing or not being accepted by family/community due to not sharing the same beliefs.
Savera UK believes working together is the best way forward to end HBA and harmful practices.
As part of our community work we:
•Raise awareness – so those at risk can seek the help they need, and communities understand the risk and impact for those affected
•Engage communities – delivering community sessions, opening dialogue, and working together in partnership
•Attend events – share our expertise and experience by attending external community events
Join Savera UK’s campaign and work together to end HBA and harmful practices,
