Education and youth settings

We work with schools, sixth forms, colleges, and universities to deliver age-appropriate, informative sessions to students. Our education sessions are designed to empower students and young people to understand, identify and challenge HBA and harmful practices, and to ensure they understand how to seek support if they or a young person they know is experiencing this type of abuse.

Saba Shoaib (she/her)
Training and Development Officer

Saba develops and delivers specialist training on ‘honour’-based abuse and harmful practices for frontline professionals and communities.
 
With a background in legal practice, human rights, and research, including specialist work on domestic violence and human trafficking. Saba brings expertise and sensitivity to complex subject matter. A licensed lawyer currently completing her LLM in the UK, her commitment to equity and access to justice underpins everything she delivers, giving professionals and communities the practical tools to identify risk and respond with confidence.

Anna Sweeney (she/her)
Education and Youth Development Co-ordinator 

Anna delivers awareness-raising sessions on HBA and harmful practices. She works across educational settings to equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to recognise risk, respond and access help.

Holding an MA in Migration and Intercultural Studies and a BA in Modern Languages, she brings a strong intercultural lens to her practice. Her work is informed by international and community-based experience. Her sessions are grounded in cultural sensitivity and practical guidance, creating safe spaces for learning, reflection, and early intervention.
