Education is at the heart of Savera UK’s campaigning activities.
We don’t just address the effects of ‘honour’-based abuse and harmful practices. We get to the root of the causes and educate people about them as well. We approach education in a number of ways.
Working with schools and young people
We go into secondary schools to deliver our schools engagement programme, educating the next generation about ‘honour’-based abuse and harmful practices and empowering them to speak out, as well as supporting teachers to understand and deliver educational activities.
We also encourage peer-to-peer education through our youth programme, Savera UK Youth, a group of 14 – 25-year-olds who create and drive campaigns to directly educate and inform the younger generation, empowering young people to inspire and educate their peers, while also developing and gaining invaluable personal skills.
If you would like Savera UK to deliver sessions within your school or youth group then please get in touch here.
We also deliver training for professionals and community engagement and education services.
