We provide support to anyone at risk of harmful practices, or anyone who is concerned for someone else’s safety.
We also provide specialist support to professionals working with people at risk.
Helpline
Anyone can contact our confidential helpline on 0800 107 0726, whether you are a professional seeking advice or a person at risk concerned for your own welfare.
We understand, we will listen and we will help you.
The helpline is open from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday and our team can provide a range of support services, from a listening ear and advice and information, to helping clients out of abusive environments and providing safety measures for those not yet ready to leave.
One-to-One Support Service
Our One-to-One service provides emergency support to individuals at risk and in crisis, helping them to escape immediate danger of ‘honour’-based abuse, female genital mutilation (FGM) or other harmful practices. It also helps individuals at risk to plan their escape and provides telephone support for help and advice.
Positive Living Programme
Savera UK’s support to its clients does not end when they are out of crisis. Creating a ‘new beginning’, free from abuse and coercion, is challenging for survivors. That is why our involvement continues for as long as each individual needs our support.
We aim to equip clients with the skills, knowledge and confidence to build a new life for themselves and their children, through our Positive Living programme. We provide weekly drop-in sessions, workshops and activities that cover topics including confidence and self-esteem, emotional self-help, yoga and relaxation, poetry and art.
We also offer practical sessions to empower clients to live independently, covering financial management, legal support, benefits or other financial aid and basic practical English courses.
By creating a social environment where clients can access vital life skills and information, we aim to reduce isolation, re-build confidence and provide opportunities for survivors to meet other people and develop peer support networks
Drop In Sessions
Part of our Positive Living programme, our weekly drop-in sessions provide advice and guidance, as well as opportunities for clients to socialise and make new friends in a safe space. Activities offered include English classes, confidence, wellbeing and self-esteem programmes and a family fun programme for those with children.
