Recognition for Savera UK Spring 2018
By Afrah Qassim
As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of women who campaigned to ensure that the women of today have the right to participate fully as part of society, we realise how their courage and bravery helped us to continue the fight for a new beginning and equality as well as encouraging those who have been forced to be silent to be not silent and to speak out.
With that in mind, Savera UK has continued to deliver this message and are delighted to be recognised through the eyes of others of the work we are doing showing its importabnce to our communities as well as the wider society. ELLE magazine has named us the one of the nine incredible Women’s organisation to get involved with in 2018. Stylist magazine has also named us as one of the eight charities that deserve attention as part of their International Women’s Day message.
As part of International Women’s Day, The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association Liverpool, presented us with the ‘Women Making a Difference Award’ which we value and thank them and everyone who has awarded us with these opportunities.
We also just heard that we have been nominated for the National Diversity Award (NDA)! This has come as such a heartfelt surprise to know that our work is being taken notice of and recognised on different levels and most importantly that the communities we are working with. Please vote for Savera UK for the Community Organisation Award HERE.
